Fairlawn Art Department
Thank you for visiting Fairlawn's visual art department. Students are continuously exploring new mediums, discussing works of art, examining events both past and present, and discovering new methods for creating wonderfully whimsical creations whose imagination and creativity are without bounds. The curriculum at Fairlawn is heavily infused with discussions about culture and the importance of visually literacy. Philosophical discussions about art and its ability to spark change and create awareness within students is a unique aspect to visual art at Fairlawn. Fairlawn both promotes and takes pride in its unique collaborative approaches to both co-teaching and collaboration among both the music and visual art departments.
Please browse through the gallery of images to see what students are creating! If you know a Fairlawn student please ask them questions about their work! Communication is an essential tool for students, and they learn so much from telling others about their work.
Sophmore students Allison and Renee create inspiring notes for each student in school to express how special they are! What animportant and meaningful gift to share with others. This embodies the Fairlawn spirit.
